FAQ
How long does it take to get our photos delivered?
The turn around time maximum is 7 business days. I love taking pictures and editing so I tend to get them back to you as fast as possible. This is my passion, so I try to get my photos back within a few days but life happens.
What if I get sick or the weather is bad?
I do not charge a penalty for weather or illness-related rescheduling if done in advanced and NOT last minute. Please do not message me an hour before your session saying you are sick. Try and be courteous, let me know at least 48 hours in advance. Please do not bring a sick child to your session!
On the other hand, do not reschedule if you or your child has acne, scratches or bruises. I can edit those out.
I will suggest rescheduling outdoor sessions if the temperature will be less than 40 degrees or over 90 degrees, if it’s very windy, or if rain is imminent. We can still do the session, we do not have to cancel but I will leave that up to you because it is your scheduled time.
I will do sessions in the rain if you wish to proceed as scheduled.
Where can we do my session?
We can do sessions anywhere it is allowed-
You want a park? Okay!
You want a lake? Okay!
You want it in an indoor studio? Okay!! I do not currently have a studio but I can rent one for a small added fee to the session!
You let me know what you need and I will make it happen.
What should I / my family wear?
WHAT SHOULD I WEAR TO MY PHOTO SESSION?
Wear clothes you love and that match each person’s style and personality. Do not dress everyone alike.
Dress as formally or casually as you’d like. I’ll modify the style/feel of the session based on your apparel.
Wear clothes that don’t wrinkle easily, and iron your clothes. I charge extra for wrinkle removing during retouching.
Black is the most flattering color if you’re concerned about your weight. It hides a lot!
Match your eye color. You’d be surprised how much this can do for your eyes!
Look around your house at where you would like to hang the photos, like your living room, and match the colors of your outfits to your decorations so that your photos will coordinate with your house.
When in doubt, neutral colors and earth tones always photograph well.
Pick a few colors and mix them up so that you all coordinate without looking the same.
Don’t forget to plan the shoes, too!

Side notes:
Make sure to brush and floss your shiny teeth before your session.
If it’s going to be windy, use a generous amount of styling spray or gel to keep your hair in place
If I cancel my session, can I get my deposit back?
If you have to cancel your session, please do so within 48 hours of the session. The deposit is non-refundable. However, if within 30 days of cancellation you can schedule a new session. After 30 days you will have to pay a new deposit for any new sessions booked.
I don't think I can afford photos. Do you do payment plans?
Thank you for asking! Firstly, photos shouldn't be seen as a luxury, after all- when our memories are gone- our photos remain.
Yes, upon request and case by case basis I do payment plans. Payment plans can be discussed before booking. And vary based on need. However, You will NOT get the gallery of photos until the plan is paid for, due to many people not paying once receiving photos.
Can I use my photos for advertising?
Firstly, any photos taken are protected by copyright with The Okie Editor.
Any advertising with photos must be approved by The Okie Editor, and in some cases may be subjected to an additional fee if you are not upfront about advertising with your photos.
